London Sinfonietta – BBC Proms at the Roundhouse

Immersive 360° projections to accompany a concert performed by the London Sinfonietta.

‘..an enveloping circular installation of silicone rods, on to which video images were streamed, sometimes beautiful, sometimes hallucinatory. It was mesmerising, and a bit trippy’

To celebrate the return of The BBC Proms to London’s iconic Roundhouse in 2016, SDNA collaborated with London Sinfonietta and conductor Andrew Gourlay to create 360° projections inspired by the programme that took its lead from Ligeti’s iconic Ramifications.
The concert included world premiere’s “Signal Before War”, by Mica Levi, and “April \ March”, David Sawer, and was staged in and around 720 degrees an astonishing installation created by internationally renowned artist and architect Ron Arad. This project evolved from SDNA’s previous collaboration with the Roundhouse and Ron Arad Curtain Call in 2012.
